Medana is the result of crossing a blackberry with a large-fruited raspberry. It's fruits are about twice the size of a raspberry, larger and much longer, with rich colouring and flavour, and are produced over a long period. Reddish-purple fruit ready for harvest from midsummer into autumn. The fruit can be eaten fresh or used in jams and puddings.
