'Sunny Star' is a hardy, vibrant, evergreen shrub with ovate, glossy, mid-green leaves and has fewer thorns on it stems than other Pyracantha. Blooms of white flowers in June are followed in July by masses of large yellow-orange berries. Plant in full sun/partial shade in a moist well drained fertile soil. Hardiness: H7. Pruning: Prune freestanding plants in early spring. For trained plants, tie back main shoots and cut back.
