The Photinia x fraseri Little Red Robin is a dwarf version of the popular Photinia Red Robin. It is an evergreen shrub which can be used as a specimen plant and is popular for hedging. It can be pruned back hard, so it works well as both formal hedging and in more low-maintenance displays. It is slow growing so makes a perfect small shrub or alternatively a low hedge.
It has bright red young leaves which appear each spring creating a superb show of colour. The leaves then start to change to a dark green colour during the summer. The Photinia Little Red Robin grows well in full sun and can tolerate semi-shade sites, but it needs full sun to flower, they will grow in any-well drained soil.
