More commonly known as the foxglove tree, this rare and unusual deciduous tree was introduced from China. Prized for its large and bright foliage that are soft to the touch. This tree will not flower as readily in the UK as it would in its native country as the flower buds can be damaged in temperatures below 5 degrees Celsius in the winter. However that is not to say that it will not flower given the right conditions.
This is a fast growing tree that will reach a mature height of around 15 metres. However it can be pruned hard each year to keep it at a manageable height.
Paulownia Tomentosa is perfect for a sunny sheltered spot in a garden that can support it growing to its full height
