'Jacaranda mimosifolia' is a fast growing semi-evergreen tree with attractive ferny foliage. In spring and early summer, large drooping bunches of lilac-blue tubular blooms appear, followed by woody seed pods containing flat, winged seeds. Protect from frost in early years. Plant in full sun/partial shade in a moist well drained fertile soil. Pruning group 1, lightly prune. Eventual height of 15m and a spread of 10m in 10-20 years. RHS AGM (Award of Garden Merit).

Will require frost protection in early years and over the winter.
