Clematis macropetala is a deciduous, perennial climber with green, palmate leaves and open, bell-shaped, violet-blue semi-double flowers in spring and early summer, followed by attractive seed-heads. Plant in full sun/partial shade in a moist well drained soil.

Hardiness: H4. Clematis pruning group 1, prune after flowering. Eventual height of 2.5m and a spread of 1.5m in 2-5 years. Good for pollinators.
