'Black Tea' is a deciduous, perennial climber with pinnate, dark-green leaves. Large, dark-purple flowers with dark red-flushed central bars appear in late spring and early summer, and again in late summer and early autumn. Plant in full sun/partial shade in a moist well drained soil. Hardiness: H5. Pruning group 2, Prune in late winter or early spring (February), then lightly prune after the first flush of flowers. Eventual height of 2.5m and a spread of 1.5m in 2-5 years. Humans/Pets: IRRITANT to skin/eyes; harmful if eaten.
