'Northland' is an early-mid season, compact, dense, rounded, deciduous variety of blueberry with a spreading habit, and mid-green leaves that turn shades of gold, orange, red and purple in autumn. In late spring, bell-shaped white flowers give way to showy clusters of medium-sized blueberries. It is extremely productive, giving high yields of small fruits that are very sweet and juicy in summer. One of the hardiest and heavy cropping cultivars in the UK. Plant in full sun/partial shade in a moist well drained fertile, acidic soil. Hardiness: H6. Pruning: Prune during the dormant season (November to March), when the fruit buds can easily be distinguished from leaf buds. Eventual height of 1.5m and a spread of 1.5m in 10-20 years. Good for pollinators.
