Product Description

 'Duke' is a deciduous shrub. A vigorous and highly productive variety of blueberry, with a bushy, upright growth and lance-shaped to elliptic, glossy dark-green leaves that turn orange, gold and red in autumn. Pendent, terminal racemes of white flowers in mid- to late spring are followed by medium to large, edible, light-blue berries ready for harvest in midsummer. The fruit is firm and has a good crunch when eaten fresh and freezes well. Plant in full sun/partial shade in a moist well drained fertile soil. Hardiness: H6. Pruning group 1.  Prune in winter, cutting out dead or damaged branches. Eventual height of 2m and a spread of 1.5m in 5-10 years. RHS AGM (Award of Garden Merit). Good for pollinators.
