Akebia longeracemosa is a semi-evergreen climber. It's foliage is a lovely shade of bright green, that in autumn turn a slight purple really giving this plant lots of interest. In spring, clusters of small, dark red flowers appear hanging down like pendants, which look great against the bright green foliage. This climber looks beautiful hanging from a pergola so the unusual flowers can be enjoyed to their full potential.
